Creepy Creeps

I just finished a project in my English Lit class where we had to read a short story and then draw an illustration of our interpretation of a moment in the story. I read the Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Gilman and I actually really liked it. Its about this Victorian woman who slowly goes insane because of the oppression she faces due to her role as a woman in victorian society. One of the options was to illustrate a cultural adaptation or remake of the initial story, so I decided to draw a Chinese woman who had her feet bound as a symbol of beauty; however, in a horror-type style. This was to tie in with the underlying themes of oppression and and lack of women's worth, as well as the creepy bone-chilling atmosphere I wanted to convey. (The woman starts seeing figures coming outta the wallpaper and all around her house-- tell me that's not a little scary???)
Enjoy!
I quite liked this illustration, but it scared the b'jeebus outta me when I was drawing it at 3 in the morning.
