Swedish Term For Beef That is Roasted
A Thinking Character Assignment for 3D.
This is the rough block-in. I'll probably fill in with more animation during the break.
3D isn't my forte... but I'm trying... =(
This is the Layout Leica for my Action analysis project. Its just to show the camera move, and the key poses of the final animation. Its a truck out from the pinata and then the girl swings and misses. The final animation changed a little bit.
This is the animation of the girl only. The colours were simplified for an easier colour palette. If I have time, I'll colour it like I pictured in my head.
Her father is supposed to be beside her to give her the bamboo stick. That's why it sorta just appears outta nowhere.
This is the animation on top of the background. I'm so dumb, I animated the father, as well as a title slate, the camera move, and a little bit of music, but I forgot to save it on my USB before I left school, so now I gotta go back and get it to show my parents because they wanna see what I've been slaving away at school for overtime hours this entire semester.
I will post it as soon as I get it. I'm not ready to see my school yet. I've seen too much of that place too recently. I need a change of atmosphere.

COVER GIRL
This past year, I've been working with these guys in a Christian Reggae Group who've just recently finished recording an album. They've graciously commissioned me to do the album cover art for their debut record, and I was flattered--albeit a bit nervous, since I wasn't entirely sure that I could make my art crossover to a sort of urban style. But after many sketches, tons of style exploration, research, and all that shebang, we finally came to something we all liked and agreed upon.
When their album officially comes out, I'll link you guys, cuz you should all check them out. I've heard a couple of their songs and they're definitely blessed with God-given talent.
Anyway, here are some art pieces: the first two are the variations of the Album cover, the next three are their BIO art, and the last are sore of promotional images.
Enjoy =)

The Pacman
Manny Pacquiao is quite the character.
I was watching one of his fights, and he is such an adorable little smiley man...
... but he totally rips it in the ring like a beast.
He fights like a madman
but he smiles like a little boy.
I'm so confused on whether or not to fear him or want to pat his head for his cuteness.
So I drew him instead.

Testing One Two Three...
I downloaded a free trial of the Mac version of Manga Studio Debut 4, just to try it out. I gotta say, I really really like the inking feel to this program! I've been constantly on the hunt for better ways to ink that are quicker than photoshop or illustrator, but before this program, I was out of luck (because photoshop really isn't the best inking program for me). When I saw an ad for this program on an animation magazine I bought, I thought "heck, lets try this out". So I downloaded the free trial, and Whaddya know, I loved it! It was super simple, something I know is completely devoted to the world of comics--both Western and Japanese. I think this may actually help me out with this graphic novel idea that I have lurking around in my head. I really wanna do it for real!
somebody... please get me this program for Christmas? Onegaishimasu?? ($54.99 CAD).
love you!
haha
ps. This was just a trial chapter page for the graphic novel I'm sorta in the process of writing. The title, character, and style are all tentative... But the artist's name is SOLID! haha =) yay

Creepy Creeps
I just finished a project in my English Lit class where we had to read a short story and then draw an illustration of our interpretation of a moment in the story. I read the Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Gilman and I actually really liked it. Its about this Victorian woman who slowly goes insane because of the oppression she faces due to her role as a woman in victorian society. One of the options was to illustrate a cultural adaptation or remake of the initial story, so I decided to draw a Chinese woman who had her feet bound as a symbol of beauty; however, in a horror-type style. This was to tie in with the underlying themes of oppression and and lack of women's worth, as well as the creepy bone-chilling atmosphere I wanted to convey. (The woman starts seeing figures coming outta the wallpaper and all around her house-- tell me that's not a little scary???)
Enjoy!
I quite liked this illustration, but it scared the b'jeebus outta me when I was drawing it at 3 in the morning.

Huy Bastos!
"Huy Bastos!" which roughly translates to "Hey pervert!" in Tagalog. Haha! Its what my mom always yells at me whenever she sees my life drawings from school. Its hilarious, I love how embarrassed my parents get when they see nude model drawings. I get a kick outta showing them every time!
Anyway, here are some watercolour figure drawings. Yes, people. They're NEKKID. hahaha. So mature. =)
